    Gramma always had this each time we visited her during the summer months. There were days we devoured this fresh after it was made, not giving it a chance to cool and solidify. She taught me how to make it just a few years before she passed away, a memory I continue to cherish.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Prepare ahead: Beat egg in cup; add the 2-3 tablespoons of water and stir well.\u00a0 Add enough milk to make 1 cup of mixture.\u00a0 Set aside.\u00a0<\/p>\n

    Add the egg mixture to the saucepan very slowly.\u00a0 Stir constantly maintaining boil until mixture is slightly thickened.\u00a0 Turn off heat and stir in butter and vanilla.\u00a0 Let pudding cool slightly until lukewarm.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
