Creole Sauce
A quick and easy sauce to pour over a pork schnitzel, cabbage or rice. Sweet and Spicy – can adjust both easily. Use this sauce on a variety of foods, and flavors blend wonderfully with seafood and chicken dishes.

Creole Sauce

Ingredients

½ each peppers green, red, yellow, orange diced in 1” cubes

1 cooking onion – diced

1 package of fresh mushrooms – sliced or quartered.

2 cloves garlic – crushed

1 cup salsa – mild medium or hot – whatever you prefer

½ cup ketchup
-
1 tsp vegetable oil – any oil with a high burn point (olive oil not recommended)
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Chop all items ahead of time and have ready.
Heat oil on medium-high heat – Add onion and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Reduce heat to medium and add mushrooms and sauté until cooked – 3-4 minutes.
Add peppers cook 2 mins.
Add garlic and stir in for 1 minute.
Add salsa and ketchup – reduce heat to medium low.
Mix together for 2- 3 mins and serve.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
